Investigators reported that a construction truck traveling eastbound crossed the center median and entered the westbound lanes, colliding with the vehicle occupied by Barbara, Steven, and a young child. Tragically, Barbara and Steven sustained fatal injuries. A 7-year-old child survived the crash and was transported to a Kansas City hospital for treatment.
